These two stations serve with regular passenger and express trains to various cities such as Chennai, Madurai, Rameshwaram, Tirupati, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Karaikal, Thanjavur, Pondicherry, Mumbai, Bangalore, Villupuram, Vridachalam, Bhubaneswar and so on. Tiruppadirippuliyur station is located near to Cuddalore bus stand. Cuddalore is connected by the main railway line Chennai- Villupuram- Maviladuthurai- Thanjavur- Tiruchirapalli. There is second railway line at Cuddalore Port Junction going to Salem via Vriddhachalam Junction. Now you can get daily passenger trains from Cuddalore to Tiruchirappalli and Vriddhachalam. There are four platforms at Cuddalore Port Junction and one stabling line for freight trains, while, Tiruppadirippuliyur station has only two platforms.
